![]() ![]() I can't get PT to record even one channel of audio, or play back one channel of audio without the constant digital cracking, popping. I have spent 2 weeks, yes, 2 weeks, going through every possibly scenario, optimizing guides, USB Filter thingy's from HP's web site, turning off every feature in Win7 so it looks like Windows 98 era (everything OFF), defragging, you name it, I've read every post and web page I can find on this stuff, both here and on m-audio's forum and other forums. ![]() ![]() I've changed USB cables on the MobilePre, used different ports, all of that. Anyway, the laptop is a Compaq(HP) CQ60, AMD Athlon Dual Core 2.0 Ghz, 4GB Ram, Win7 32bit SP1, no mods or anything else plugged into it except the iLok. I bought an M-Audio MobilePre new, it's not the 2nd gen one, I'm guessing that makes it 1st gen but it doesn't have the dated blue face that the very first ones have, it has a more modern black/silver front to it.but it's definitely not the 2nd gen one. So I want to be able to so some basic tracking/writing using my laptop. I've never really had to look on line to trouble shoot anything with the system, it worked great in XP (LE 7.4 through 8.0.3, and now 9.0.2 on Win7). My main setup in my studio is a Digi 002 on an older AMD 64 dual core system, 4 GB ram, never any major problems other than usual slow downs when trying to use too many plugins and stuff. Long time Sonar user (since back in the early 90s), switched to PT about 2 years ago and haven't looked back. Hi everyone, I can't believe I'm actually posting to a forum, I've never had any problems in 20 years of writing and recording that I couldn't figure out by reading other posts and help files. ![]()
